Really like the name Hugh and it isn't too popular so he wouldn't be one of many in his class down the road. I know mostly girls with the name Misha so I'd check into that before making Misha a final choice. Chip is a nickname for Christopher and sounds good with Johnson. Easy on the monikers that make people think of cars. Good luck.
Iain, Aidan, Angus, are all good Scottish names to go with Johnson.

Misha sounds like a girls name ;) Dodge is a truck, ditto on Chevy, Is he a CHIP off the old block? Van is a van, or a pre suffix on a surname. Christer sounds too much like Chrystler. Andrew Johnson...sounds like a name for a president?
I guess that leaves Forrest, Austin and Hugh. Out of the three I like Forrest and Austin best. Out of those two I can't decide.
But I do think your hub has a fixation with cars. Thats better than my dad who named my little bro after his favorite dog.

The only ones I like are Andrew and Austin. Didn't we have a president by that name? Austin doesn't go with the last name Johnson (in my opinion). What about
Anthony, Christopher, Alezander (Zan), Those are cute and they go with Johnson.

Oh, wow! It sounds like your husband wants his son to be named after a car or a food....I would definitely not pick Dodge, Christer, Van, Chevy, Chip, Hugh, Misha, or Forrest :( Those names justs aren't fit for a baby boy! (No offense to your husband!!)
I do like Austin and Andrew!!
Or try:
Liam
Aiden
Wesley
Trevor
Tyler
Travis
Hayden
Joshua
Josiah
Matthew
Keegan
Jaden/Jayden
Noah
Wyatt
Chase
Congrats!!!!!!

I agree with everyone else on the car/truck brand names. It's a little too much. When I read Forrest I thought of Gump, Misha doesn't do it for me and Van reminds me of Van on Reba. I like the other semi traditional names but I'm more of a non-traditionalist when it comes to spellings. A few suggestions if you're looking for simple:
1. Connor Johnson
2. Taylor Johnson
3. Tanner Johnson
4. Hayden Johnson
5. Zachary Johnson (Zach for short)
Have y'all thought of using grandparents' names? Like I'd like to name one of my future kids Kassel Lawrence after my maternal grandfather, Kassel, and my husband's paternal grandfather, Lawrence. My parents said they were going to name me Kaleigh but as soon as I was born they named me Heather. They said I didn't look like or act like a "Kaleigh". I have know clue what a "Kaleigh" looks or acts like as an infant but they said it didn't fit, so you may have a name picked out and then when you hold him you'll see something else may fit better. Hope this helps.

Please don't name your child after a brand of vehicle... Chevy and Dodge are OUT! Christer sounds like Chrystler another car.
if you name him Hugh all the kids from about 5th grade on through college will call him Huge Johnson and laugh hysterically.
Andrew Johnson was a president- very respectable name
Austin, Forrest, and Van are the best from your list.
You might like Vaughn, Christopher, and Micah.

Thinking about when he goes to school:
Run Forrest Run!
You are a car!! (Dodge & Chevy)
Where's the dip? (Chip)
Misha sounds feminine.
Austin, Andrew and Hugh are toooo common right now.
So that leaves Van and Christer (never heard that one before)
Sooooo -- How about Van Christer Johnson??
