I live and love the Cleveland Browns, I also went to college with Charlie Frye among 25,000 other students. I watched every Sunday Charlie get his butt kicked, sacked, knocked down, crapped on when we were not winning. We signed Steinback and we drafted Joe Thomas and is Quinn comes in and does a 360, he will get all the credit and that makes me mad, and is unfair to Charlie. I hope Charlie gets the chance with the line and weapons we have brought in including Jamal Lewis and can at least get the chance, out of training camp.

Whoever wins the QB training camp battle. It will probably be Frye, because he has the most game experience. I could see the Browns trading Frye or Anderson before the end of preseason (whoever comes in behind), and signing a veteran QB to teach Quinn and Frye.
Eventually Quinn will start this season. Probably half way through the season unless Frye gets hurt or the Browns win a bunch of games.

You have to start Quinn. Brady Quinn not only has more talent than Frye and Anderson, but he has been playing in Charlie Weiss' offense for the past two years - the very same offense that Romeo Crennel was an assistant coach with when they were with the Patriots. Quinn is the most NFL ready QB to come out of school in years.

Charlie Fry with Quinn sitting and taking notes for the first 5 games.
Games 6-9 Quinn should get one series a game that is at a safe time and is pre-scripted.
Games 9-12 Quinn gets 2 series a game
Games 13-16 depends on the status of the team if we are in the hunt and Fry is playing well stay the course if we are out of it and Quinn has shown promise then start him the last 4 games to get the experience.

Good question. Obviously Quinn is there QB of the future. Recent history has proven that rookie QBs don't start well right off. The rooks in Arizona, Tenn, and Denver all had 1/2 a season of practice under their belt's before they started their 1st game. So on opening day I think it will have to be Frye. By the end of the year the Dawg Pound will be yelling for Brady though and I wouldn't be surprised to see him at some point in the season.

Well Frye and Anderson suck as do all Cleveland player with the exception of Braylon Edwards. I would have to say the they will all compete in the pre-season and Brady Quinn will start the first game of the season. Either way, the Browns will be 3-13 at best. I'm from Detroit so I know how it feels to lose every year too! ) :

I'd say Frye, til halfway through the season. Reason being, if they are having a losing season, then throwing Quinn in really wouldn't matter all that much and it would give him some real playing time. If they were having a winning season, keep Frye in and maybe he'll do some good.

You have to let Quinn get his feet wet slowly. I really liked how Fisher worked Vince in the first four games. He put him in on some drives and 3rd downs that were 3rd and short or 3rd and forever just to get him the feel of the game and speed of the game. But he didnt start until the 5th week. See alot of people say Vince just sat but alot of people didnt know unless you follow the Titans that there was only one game last year that Vince didnt play in at all and that was the Miami game. I liked that approach because they knew Vince was going to start soooner rather than later and they didnt just throw him in the deep end of the pool and say sink or swim. I would say alot depends on how your season starts to how soon Quinn will play but to answer the question Frye will be the opening day starter.

If you work the forula like most successful Qb's, you make Quinn sit the year and learn the game. Frye is the guy.
Think about Carson Palmer, Vince Young, Matt Leinart and Jay Cuttler how they came in in the middle or not at all in their rookie season. See how good those guys are??

Anderson ought to commence the season, and Quinn ought to in basic terms play if Anderson struggles or gets injured. Anderson performed properly sufficient this season to maintain the commencing activity, and powerful commencing QB's are difficult to return via. Quinn will in basic terms be a 2d 12 months guy next season, he has a ton of time to play, it's time to study and wait his turn. i'm an Irish fan, and love Brady Quinn, yet Anderson is the starter so some distance as i'm in contact.
