I am going to Las Vegas this summer and I would like to take a tour to the Grand Canyon leaving from Las Vegas. Can anyone recommend a tour company that you used? Which part of the rim should I go to? How long did the tour last?

You can use this site to compare the tour companies.

Are you planning on takng a, bus, plane, helicopter, etc, tour?
There are quite a few different ways to see the GC. Tours can last anywhere from a few hours to all day.

This is the best if you want a helicopter tour

I have used these guys a couple of times for bus tours.

Check the free LV magaziness in your hotel room & or the hotel gift shop, they almost always will have discount coupons for GC tours. >"Today in LV"< is a good one

Try Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters. Excellent company with wonderful tours. Some tours last an hour or two, others all day, and a few, all night.

West Rim is beautiful but very isolated (and on Hualapai Indian lands). South Rim has the buildings (historic mostly) and the North Canyon has some beautiful sights (Dragon Corridor for one).

When you get to your hotel, check with the concierge, they sometimes have specials for various tours.
