Here's a simple, personal answer: I could hit three-pointers at the old distance, and I'm not a top-level player. It's probably was a little too close. Moving it back a foot probably will change the game a bit.

While the three-pointer has made for some fascinating endings, I don't really like what it has done for the college game. There are many teams who either take lay-ups or three-pointers, with nothing in between. You get the bizarre display of teams passing the ball way outside in order to take three-pointers, especially when they are behind.

Maybe this will help bring back the mid-range jumper.

Yes, the college three point line is too easy. It's a good thing that they are moving the line back. Now we will really know who can shoot threes in college.

I just read that. I think they should move it back. It is too easy where it is now. It will just be training for when they go pro after playing college basketball for only one year.

Finally they do something about that three point line. Lets see how many players 3 point percentage drop. I dont understand why they have had it that close anyway...but yeah good to know someone actually noticed it was too close and decided to change it.

Basketball is too easy, and dominated by people who are tall enough that they can just drop the ball into the basket, no skill required. I'd recommend they eliminate the two-point shot. Then the players would actually have to have some shooting skill to play, instead of just being a group of exceptionally tall guys.

Yes, if I can make it consistently, it's too easy.
