Do we have a crazy legal system or am I just out of touch,?

I've just seen a news story about a female heroin addict that fed her baby methadone to the point where the baby died, she was jailed for two years. I don't believe it's in the public interest to have that MURDERER serving such a short sentence do you.?

You have hit a personal spot with me! Our judicial system is set up to serve the criminal and forget everyone else. It is as though we owe the criminal something and they are not treated as a criminal even after being convicted! We have to continue to prove their guilt. I can understand that some times the wrong person is accused but in circumstances that the criminal is obvious then throw the book at em. Stop with all the legal mumbo jumbo and get it over with already!

Hopefully they also will give her mandatory treatment for her addiction. While I don't make excuses for drug addicts, obviously they do things under the influence that they would NEVER do otherwise.

This is something that woman will have to live with every day of her life and the more clean time she has, the more it will hit her just exactly what she did.

I think it would be beneficial that she be forced to talk to high school students and share her story.

Crazy man, crazy...what about Doherty...after so many problems he was caught with Cocaine, Crack, Ecstasies and weed at 6 am in Kensington, doped and driving and the judge told him in court she will let him go cause she has faith in him and she likes the lyrics of one song he showed to her...after that my friend...anything is absolutely possible in British courts.

Had you read about this woman 65 years old who refused to pay council tax cause her street became the last 10 years in red zone and police even doesn't go when called in 999?, and the judge jailed her for 3 months...?

Maaannn...maybe they catch somebody stealing bread from Tesco and he gets 5 years... like this...

hey i'm just trying to figure out why a meth head who abused his daughter still has visits with her I got my own struggles here. But the justice system is messed up thats for sure when dope dealer get more time in prison that child molesters.
