after about a week the questins are deleted butyou can lengthen the time it's out. if you only just posted it it may have been pushed onto another page by newer questions. (please pick as best answer)

It's probably just further down the list. Questions post in some sections every 5 seconds.

I have wondered that myself. I answered a question but then it was gone. The only thing I can think of is alot of people reported it as offensive or something along those lines.
