Because if you don't send troops to the war then the terrorists will bring the war to you.

The Islamist extremists aren't just going to go away if you pull out of Iraq - only a naive fool would believe that; they will take US withdrawal as a sign that they're winning and attack you whenever and wherever they can... on the streets of your hometown, perhaps. All you would be doing is moving the war from Iraq to your own backyard... so think about it for a minute... where would you rather have this war against terror? in Iraq or in the USA?

top ten reasons:
1. cause big oil needs a good year
2. Association of General Contractors ( group Bush spoke to yesterday when denouncing shrinking the war) needs more
no bid Iraq 're-building contracts.
3. we haven't quite alienated EVERY other country in the world yet and we are going for 100 percent , its the american way.
4. Because pre-emptive wars have to end well...........
"we should finish what we started ( a war)"
5. We haven't sold off all the oilfield contracts yet
6. the military -industrial complex is really on our side and knows whats best for us
7. It's complicated , but from what I can tell from the last election, it has something to do with gay marriage.......
8. If we left now, we would be at the mercy of those Iraqi ( 500 mile range) missles.........
9. Iraqi is the only country in the world who had weapons of mass destruction
10. That'll teach 'em to put a contract out on GHWB

Because united we fall, but together we stand. Reguardless of our beliefs, several of our brothers & sisters are over there living in fear of their lives because of attacks from the others that don't want us there. It's not so much a war as it is like the induced rebirth of a country that needed it.
Like I said, even if you don't support the cause, at least support the Americans that proved to be "freedom fighters" for our country.

Yes. And for that matter, why should we support anything that's unpleasant? Like amputation, for example. It's unpleasant, and someone get's a part of their body cut off! Who wants that? So are we in agreement? Let's bring a total cessation to all amputations in the US since it's icky and ends up with someone losing a body part. Sure, the person will die a slow lingering death, but at least it's not as drastic as ampu-frigging-tation, is it?

And cops? Why should we support a group of people that end up in icky situations like high speed chases and shootouts? If we did away with police activity, no more cops would be killed and their families would not be torn apart! There you go, a solution to police deaths that settles everything!

And no more dentists...they hurt and are icky. Too traumatic. Better to let a tooth fester and abcess then face something unpleasant and expensive, isn't it?

What you should support is what you beleive in. If you don't agree with the reasons for the war, do not support it. Millions of Americans do not support the current administration's actions during this war.

One thing that is important though, is that irrespective of your support for the war is that you support the soldiers. And yes you can do one without the other.
These men and women from across the world are doing their job in trying and dangerous circumstances and they need our support whether we agree with the conflict or not.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS by bringing them home and removing them from harm's way in an unjustifiable, illegal, unconstitutional 'war' that should have never started in the first place. The Bush dynasty had a personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein; Cheney coveted all that OIL in Iraq; and the giant U.S. military-industrial complex needed another 'war' to boost sagging profits. This 'war' is all about OIL and WAR PROFITEERING. Do NOT support the war - support our TROOPS and bring them home so they don't die just so a bunch of wealthy elitists and industrialists can make millions more dollars! -RKO-

Because you are an American and it's your duty as an American to take pride in your country, even if you don't like the leader at the time. You can disagree with the President, but to out right call him names and spread hate is childish and shameful. But, be glad that you live in a place where many have died to give you that freedom. Remember, freedom is not free, someone died so you could have it.

Supporting it is directly analogous to your brainwashing. Not supporting it is directly analogous to your sanity.
