Talk to your daughter find out all of the details because most times when pedofiles get caught its not the first time something has happened. What if anything did u know about this man before you 2 became intimate do u know of any ex- girlfriends with children that u could speak with 2 see if there are any more victims there might be since the father is willing too pay you off. Also do a national back ground check too see if he is a registered sex offender. The more info you have on him the better,Or if you could do things the southern way. How many brothers and male cousins do you have? Looks too me a old fashion"skull cracking" is on the menu!!!!!!

You report him to the police and his father for trying to pay you off to keep quiet, his daughter is at risk as are other children, I hope you kicked him where it hurts before throwing him out,he has subjected your daughter to a horrific ordeal she could be mentally scarred for life by this and you havent reported him to the police!!!!!! Hello if it was me that caught him all the police would have found of him would be what I couldnt damage enough to be unrecognisable,he is a beast, an animal, a pervert, a pedo, scum of the earth, make this public knowledge go to the papers expose him and his father, he deserves to suffer for the rest of his life......
Please, please think of your poor daughter how she feels get him arrested his life inside wont be worth living if other inmates get to him,you can not brush this under the carpet...

Do the right thing for your daughters sake and his child.....

You should have gone to the police to report it. Your daughter also needs to speak to a professional since you probably don't know the extent of his abuse. How can you be sure that this is the first time he has molested her? Do you know how she feels about having someone trusted violate her? Is it also possible that she harbors resentment toward you because of him, and the fact that you are the one who brought him into the home? As for his daughter, who knows if he has also molested her. Have you spoken to the child's mother? Clearly, his father knows his weakness and money is the only thing he can offer to keep his son out of jail. Your job is to protect your child.

You don't explain what you mean by "messing with" but your response tells me that it must have been serious. Their offer to "make it go away" also tells me that they know it was serious. That being the case, then the police should be notified and the district attorney to prosecute him for child molestation. If your daughter is knowledgeable enough to understand the wrongness of what happened and willing to testify about what happened, then the guy can go to prison with a felony molestation charge. Then the child protective services can step in and protect his own daughter.
Best wishes.

You could file charges. Depends on what you mean by messing around as to what charges to file. You need to consider a few things.
How serious was it and was there any other logical explanation such as innocent play or misunderstanding. Assuming the answer is no and very serious then you need to weigh your obligation to society to report with your concern for your child who may be required to testify. If you do not file charges then he is free to do this to another child and he will. If you accept money to stay quiet then you are assuming a portion of the guilt for the next child he harms. You may not know when that happens or who it happens too but when it happens you permitted it.

I know if I ever caught anyone messing with my daughter, my first instinct would be to quickly log on to Yahoo! Answers and ask those good people of the internet their opinion on what to do.

After all, angry ex girlfriends never, ever make false accusations to screw with ex boyfriends...do they?

I sense a liar. At least , I really hope she's a liar because a a moron who logs on to yahoo instead of calling the cops needs to have her child taken away.

You have to call the police. That man is a predator and he will continue to prey on little girls if he's not stopped. His father offering you money only proves this is not the first time it's happened. Good luck to you and your daughter.

Ummm well call the police and send his *** to jail for doing what he did. He will do it again, if he has done it already. He might already be messing around with his daughter you just don't know it yet....Save some kids and call the police....He needs to be put in his place. And if he offered you money, he is already saying he is guilty and he probably doesn't want it investigated because he is hiding things...haven't you watch dateline...they cry and beg and say they won't do it again, and if they were released they would probably do it again. Send him to Jail and do it quick.

It says he knows he can go to jail. Unless you live in Mississippi, 13 is not the legal age of consent. You should've called the police when it happened, because it probably won't seem very believable now. But call child protective services, and that 10 year old is out of his house.

Call the police ASAP. Then, get your daughter some professional counseling if you think she would benefit. Then, hire a lawyer. Your daughter has a claim against the guy.
