Often I find comfort in music, books, the arts....but there are times when this isn't an option either. At such times, I try to find comfort within my own mind. I explore ideas, theories, write plays, lyrics, compositions...I visit with those I love & miss be they departed through death or distance, and sometimes I find that I, myself am not half bad company when I relax and just let myself be.

I usually start writing poems or short stories. usually for motivation or for comfort. Its a habit. It is relaxing to just write or type even .. i guess that is why i love Y!A so much..
There are times in your life,
that things are standing still,
for that reason,
ideas that must flow..
shall be written in ink..
for you to remember
how you have overcome
feeling so dull.
by tracing your thoughts to pen and paper,
a brightness can be shown, and a new beginning can emerge.
All through your thoughts, your pen and your paper......

I just climb back into my hole... only taking what things I need to make it through the day, bottled water, a bag of chips, some smokes, MP3 player, a few DVDs, you know random things that can make me look busy if anyone stops by

I jog next to the ocean. I write. Sometimes when I'm sad I come here to spend time with the goodones..they make me giggle

I used to find comfort in all the things that were bad for me. now that i am older and wiser...eheh... I find it in doing yoga and play with my dog.
