there are so many videos of police using excessive force and violence to people who are not a threat. i've seen cops straight up punch a guy in the face 10 times in a row while he's handcuffed and being held down by 2 other cops. like the PEACEFUL demonstration the Hispanic community had in LA this week and you see videos of cops using their batons just beating a guy who is of no threat to them. so back to my question, why do people make such a big deal about what Imus and whine and this and that.

Imus is going to collect big time! They hired him to be controversial and speak his mind. If they didn't want something he said to go out over the airwaves then they had better fire his editor and the network censor, because they're the ones that let the cat out of the bag! After Don gets done with them they'll have to think twice about making anymore contracts with anyone else! Remember they have a ten second opportunity to prevent anything from going out! They're the ones that failed not Don Imus!

Well it was peaceful until the rocks and bottles started flying. IF the people around the guy that started the whole thing had pounded him inot the ground the cops wouldn't have gotten involved.

But then you would have probably have been complaining that the crowd pounded this guy into the ground and did nothing.

That Imus got canned for any reason if fine with me. I could care less. He was an idiot.

As far as the demonstration goes. Who were they demonstrating for? Hispanics or ILLEGAL aliens? I have no problem with immigrants of any race. They are here LEGALLY! THEY have not broken any laws coming here.

Now don't take this personally I'm just against illegal aliens of ANY race. And for people to demonstrate in favor of persons who have committed a criminal act is just plain wrong.

****** being held down by 2 other cops. like the PEACEFUL demonstration the Hispanic community had in LA this week ******

It was peaceful right up until a group of idiots started a mini riot throwing rocks and bottles at police, so dont try to make it sound like the cops just started in for no reason.
I saw it on the local LA news. Quit trying to blame the cops.

EDIT: Jess, you are an excellent example of a hate filled moron. You must be a Lib. I couldnt care less about whomever was there supporting ILLEGAL immigration, and the ILLEGALS themselves making outrageous demands from my country. They should all be prepared for something like this to happen when someone, probably just like yourself, started trouble. Screw 'em, and you too, loser.

"Police brutality" is while they use pointless stress. because of the fact it is pointless, it is not needed. yet while that's justified, then it isn't any longer "police brutality". Examples: The Rodney King beatings approximately 20 years in the past have been found to be pointless, and have been "police brutality". however the UC Davis activities presently (police pepper spraying protesters interfering with the police's responsibilities and encircling the police so as that they won't bypass away) replaced into very had to disperse the protesters so the police would desire to accomplish their responsibilities (and the protesters are fortunate that each and every person which got here approximately to them is the pepper spray).

YES. i agree, the LAPD violence is much more important to minority groups than what one comedian said.

The reason is that Imus is a big personality, what ever they do attracts attention. the people in Los Angeles were just ordinary folk. : - (

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson can't make any money off the extortion racket with immigration.

Imus was nothing but money, and soon will be much bigger money.

because African-Americans are more easily hurt by words than other segments of society; the rest of America needs to be more sensitive to this type of pain that hurts African-Americans more so than the majority of the citizenry; America needs to be more empathetic to different groups if we are to be an enlightened nation.
