First iam going to say i understand your feeling!! We are still trying to have a little one. One explanation could be you want this more than anything and your body reacting to that. Some of the reason you may not have had a period is stress or weight loss or gain. Also did your OB do a blood test or pee test some people do not show up being pg on a pee test in till 4 mon ( that is how my mom found out about me and my sister) Just don't give up GOOD LUCK

Have you been around any other women? Sometimes when we are around other women, our hormones will pick up on theirs and make us all have our periods around the same time. I can remember one time when I was hanging around my mom and my aunt alot, we were all on different cycles. However after a month of sticking with them, one day we all started our period on the same day. My mom started first in the morning, my aunt started later on in the day, and then I started towards the evening. We all thought it was funny and my uncle took a picture of all three of us giving him an evil glare. LOL. You could be starting here shortly. Some women experience Breast tenderness and fatigue and flatulence before they start their period. It could be just Pre-menstrual symptoms. Wait it out another 2 weeks, and if still no period, ask your doctor again. Also, pregnancy is not the only cause for a period not showing up. Stress has a huge factor as well as appetite, weight gain and so on. I hope I have been helpful in your search for an answer and good luck!!

This has happened to me numerous times before. Your "preego" symptoms could just be PMS symptoms, like bloating, fatigue, even a little nausea maybe. Your cycle might just be irregular this month. I skipped my period last month too and had to take a pregnancy test, which was negative. It happens time and again with me, to the point where I don't know if I want to spend the money on another pregnancy test if I'm just late and experiencing those annoying premenstrual symptoms. Good luck.

Several things could cause this...high stress/anxiety, sudden change in diet. Quite a few years ago I stopped taking the pill and proceeded to have no period for three months. It's called amonorrhea (not sure if I spelled it correctly). I've also experienced it here and there throughout life...without being pregnant. AND nothing else was wrong, either...it eventually showed up! Why don't you have a chat with your doc, maybe he or she can tell you some of the possible reasons. Good luck and take care.

What symptoms are you having?

Periods can be influenced by various factors, like how women living together will sometime "synch up". People who are very agitated or depressed may stop having their periods for a time. I believe this is a biological failsafe to keep a woman from having a child when she is either physically or mentally unable to handle pregnancy or child rearing.

Talk to your doctor again and explain your concerns clearly. Ask what might be causing these symptoms if you are not pregnant.

It could be stress or something medically wrong. Did your doctor offer an opinion or run additional tests?

Probably stress or a lot of physical activity. I'm late too but I can't be pregnant. (Seriously) I just wait it out.

if you are younger (less then 20) missing a period every once in awhile is normal. if your doctor even said your not preg, i dont think you should worry. (especially if you have missed periods before)
