if your friend is rich, then by all means, yes it is okay to get...cause your friend can get into accidents, insurance will fix it and even when her insurance goes up, she can afford to pay it...Gas, maintenance, and insurance will be expensive for an inexperienced driver. But if your friend is barely making ends meet, I would not advise it, as she will be struggling for awhile.
It is a nice, fast car. Tap the gas a little goes a long way for this car.
Your friend reminds me of those Sweet 16 shows on MTV..the aftershows show all their nice cars with a couple of accidents...they all can afford it cause their daddys pay for it. ; )

Its a great car, not sure its a great first car though. If your friend is under 21, a new driver or simply a woman who is a new driver regardless of age then they better have good insurance for the likely hood of an accident is high in the first year. This car is probably too expensive and powerful to be your training wheels car, but if your friend can afford a few accidents before upgrading to a G37 in 2008/2009 then I wish your friend well. Always wear your seatbelt or end up like the dumb governor from New Jersey!

Depends on the type of driver she is going to be, for a first car it may be to fast. Go with something a little slower and safer
