Everything will be fine and because you two are second cousins your baby has a less chance of having birth defects than if you two were first cousins..
Just hope and pray that the baby is healthy, that's really all that matters right now as well as the mothers health....
P.s my sister and her husband are friends with this couple who are also second cousins and he ended up inpregnating her and the baby came out perfectly healthy ((no birth defects)) so just keep positive and limit the stress for the mother and the baby...
good luck!

Don't listen to those people who are saying "Eeeew." They are being immature. First of all you obviously didn't even know she was your second cousin when you started seeing her. Second of all, even in most cases where it is first cousins, the chances of birth defects or anything else being wrong with the baby are slim. With second cousins the chances are even slimmer, you are almost not even relatives at all, second cousin is just a term that got invented and some people aren't even sure just exactly what a second cousin is. And if you do decide to marry or stay together, then it's not even illegal. Good Luck.

What's done is done. Now the only thing to due is to make the best out of the situation. Do you love her? I wouldn't worry about it too much, back in the 1800's people often married and had children with their first cousins.

wow some ppl are so rude... it says " i just found out i have been dating my second cousin" it aint like he dated her knowing it was his cousin...
anyways... just pray that the baby is healthy... also im not sure if they do this there.. but when i found out i was pregnant..it was 13 weeks.. well they asked if i was interested in having a ultrasound that would detect down syndrome.. i said yes..
because i wanted to find out sooner then later... well luckily for me my chances was like 1 in 10000000 haha well VERY unlikely.. so maybe tell her to ask her gyno for a ultrasound to detect defects and stuff... mine told me that it can only be done until a certain point..
well good luck and congrats!!...

Help her with the baby it's yours too. This is your second cousin if i'm correct it's ok to date. But if it's your first cousin then it would be wrong.

Consult a doctor who can explain to you about genetics. In a way you know better what to do. For the meantime be supportive to you second cousin's pregnancy who mothers your child. God bless, things will be OK.

If the baby is yours, support her and the baby. Do you love her? IThat's what's important now. t's okay. Second cousins technically means that you have great-grandparents in common, and your parents are first cousins. It's not as bad as first cousins (grandparents in common).

just pray that the baby is not going to have abnormalities...talk with your cousin that this relationship is not meant to be...let this be just a lesson in life..know the person very well first before having a serious relationship

Second cousins are legal to marry, and should have no threat of abnormality in the baby.
Make sure it's yours.

I believe that marriage to a second cousin is legal. First cousins are more problematic.
In any case, you need to take responsibility for your actions.
