You cannot blame the religion for the actions of its followers, as much as we would like to.

Religion gives joy and support to many. The fact that some of its people do wrong cannot detract from that. If we take that approach we will have to stop all Medicine because of Shipman; stop defending ourselves because of the actions of one or two solders; disband the police force because some have taken bungs.

We do need to be vigilant, we do need to protect ourselves from the nutter and corrupt few but never throw the baby out with the bath water.

If people find myths and legends helpful and useful - let them have it.

I think so. It's not worth the risk to elect him in order to find out. It's not as if he's going to come out and say, "Oh, yeah. By the way, I hate white people, and I want to overthrow America." ... if that is the case. It could be the case. Stranger things have happened. (According to history) It's clear at least some Obama supporters harbor animosity against white people. Farrakhan says that white people owe black people the whole **** country. People have been threatening violence and riots for months now, if Obama doesn't win. People are being called racists because they are uncomfortable with Obama's circle of friends, as if it's perfectly normal for a presidential candidate to sit in a church for 20 years that supports terrorist groups like Hamas and preaches GD America. There is no way anyone with a brain wouldn't know what Wright was about. The final straw for me, is that the explanations Obama has given just do not add up. He's obviously avoiding any hard questions on the issue, that could perhaps alleviate voter apprehension, but no. I don't believe he's being honest about it. Absolutely not. The bottom line, for most American's there is much more at stake in this election than what color our next president is going to be. Obama is an unknown variable, who is a risky candidate for several reasons. In my opinion, Obama is just plain not worth the risk.

Religion is resonsible for more acts of depravity, wars and deaths than anything else throughout history.

I am never astonished by the sheer ignorance, idiocy or evil that mankind is capable of, but there should be a suitable repercussion or punishment which will genuinely discourage people from being sickos.

I am also very surprised that here in the UK, a religiously motivated political party is allowed to stand in the elections.....The Scottish Christian Party...indeed.

I would not want my country to be governed by a religious organisation...making laws which are motivated by myth and blinkered foolishness.

Can you imagine if there was a Muslim Party in the UK.......or a Satanists Party......what if they won the general election....there would be riots...and I would start them :)

One would hope that if Religion were in charge, the child molester Smith would be burned at the stake for sacrilege. His behavior is the greatest possible offense against God.
