I know silicium is used for semiconducors while silver is one of, if not the best, electricity conductor. But besides that, what can be said about the common ground shared by these two elements?

it would be helpful if you limit your question to one language. silicium is French for silicon. There isn't a lot in common, other than they both tend to be electon donors in chemical bonding...

Not too terribly much.

Silicium is merely the Latin translation of SILICON.

Silicon is a metalloid; silver is actually a metal.
Si: a trace nutrient. Ag: TOXIC
Oxides: SiO2 (large white polymeric crystalline network)
Ag2O (fine black powder)
Abundance/value
Ag: Precious metal
Si: One of the most common elements on the planet
