What makes you think it's a quagmire? Just because some dumb politician said so? Just because the media says so? LOL

And the word "crisis" has almost no meaning anymore.

The war in Iraq is part of the war on terror. The way you get rid of international terrorism is get rid of the Muslim dictatorships. That's what causes terrorism. They control their society, they twist their society, they make it acceptable in their society to murder innocent people on purpose by blowing yourself up. That is twisted. It's on the level of sacrificing virgins to a volcano god.

If the extremist Muslims want to live in the 7th century, that's one thing. But if they want to cruelly repress their people, and attack other nations, that ain't good.

I wish more Americans had a spine. Wishing the bad guys would go away is not a viable plan.

It IS an international crisis, since it will affect politics in the region for years, and politics in that region effects the world due to its oil reserves.

But I would not count on international help in resolving it. Bush & Co started this war without broad international support, and it's unreasonable to think that the rest of the world would jump in to help them clean up the mess they created.

Of course, it's unlikely that the US will stay long enough to clean it up, either. It's hard to get the house clean while the kids are tracking in more mud, you know?

It has been an international crisis since the day Bush invaded. He did so against world opinion and turned the USA into the most hated nation since Nazi Germany.
