My last 2 periods have been very light. Added on strangeness, usually when they are very light I get unbearable cramps but that didn't happen. Plus they were very close, less than 3 weeks. What's going on? The only change I've made in my life is that I'm started ballroom dance lessons and I started taking vitamin E. But usually when I exercise they're are farther apart and much heavier.

There are many outside influences that can cause irregular periods. Here are some:
Medications
Significant weight gain or loss
Over-exercise
Poor nutrition (or a diet too high in carbohydrates)
Drug use
Eating disorders
Increased stress
If you feel one of these influences may be causing irregular periods, you should talk to her doctor.

Sometimes the cycle shifts.
You may have avoided cramps due to the physical activity- dancing.
