Hands down, BERKELEY has a better Anthro programs IF AND ONLY IF you didn't want to study Biological Anthropology -- that ceased to be offered as a major in 1999). Otherwise, Cal's anthropology department is regarded as one of the BEST in the United States. Cal also offers a lot of courses and majors in regional cultural studies (Classics, American Studies, Latin America, East Asia, South & Southeast Asia, Mediterranean Archaeology, etc.) that would supplement your cultural anthro education.

Berkeley is also home of the Phoebe Hearst Museum of Anthropology (housed in Kroeber Hall). It's a pretty cool gallery. http://hearstmuseum.berkeley.edu

Overall, Cal also ranks higher than UCLA on many surveys (US News et al).

Tbh, the two faculties are nationally referred to as being the rather some genuine public Universities so it somewhat is going to possibly no longer somewhat count for the main section. some could argue that one is extra valuable than the different for particular majors yet i think of you would be extra valuable off in basic terms going to UCLA with the aid of fact it is so close and you'd be waiting to save numerous money. Your grades might count extra for undergrad than the college.
