Terrorism is politically motivated violence aimed at non-combatants. Nothing more. If you play around with the definition, then you are abetting those who conduct terrorism by giving them clout.
Under that definition there is only one state in the history of man that outdoes the US in conducting terrorism, that is Nazi Germany. In terms of murderous blockades (when a million children die as a consequence, as was the case in Iraq), genocidal and illegal wars (from the Mexican-American War to the Invasion of Iraq there has been not one legitimate use of US force, save perhaps the aid lent to the Soviets in defeating Nazi Germany) and the imposition of repressive governments to manipulate their economic policies (as was the case of Latin America for most of the past century); no country today approaches the scale of terror sponsored by US tax-payers. Furthermore, the threat of terrorism plays an important role in US foreign policy. After having demonstrated no remorse for civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, coupled with utmost contempt for the possible concequences of using nuclear devices, the US today threatens the world that if it does not obey America's will nuclear fallout will rain. Such are the tactics of terrorists.
Fortunately, historians and activists have poured out tons of literature confirming that terrorism is counter productive. Only the weak and ignorant resort to it. The US' obsession with acting like an ignorant and weak state will make it collapse on its own weight. We will all be safer then.
PS: i limited to international terrorism. There is plenty of evidence of state terrorism against Americans. In terms of persecution of Blacks, Peace activists, the indigenous population and immigrants. Lately even against the rightful owners of the west coast, Mexicans.

Jihad has nothing to do with terrorism, technically speaking. Radical muslims use it as their excuse to go bomb people in the name of their God. Jihad is basically saying that if someone abuses you, you can fight back. i don't think that 9/11 was really a "fighting back" situation...

Terrorism is violence intended to create fear or "terror", perpetrated for an ideological goal and deliberately target "non-combatants". Jihad is often used with the meaning of, a struggle for or defense of Islam. Any action that causes any civilian to feel fear or terror could be called terrorism.
Discussing terrorism with any government is comparable to debating sexual intercourse with Bill Clinton on the stand, it's all in the definition.

Terrorism is deliberately attacking defenseless civilians rather than military targets, in order to create terror within the population. The aim is to frighten the opponent into surrendering without much of a fight.
If Muslim extremists bomb a market or mosque, this is terrorism. If they bomb an Army encampment, that is combat.
If somebody is attempts to bomb a military target but kills civilians instead of, or in addition to, the soldiers, this is collateral damage. It is regrettable, but it was not the goal of the attack and therefore doesn't come under the heading of terrorism.
This is the basic difference; obviously war is extremely complex and often confused.
Typically Muslim extremists hide their military operations among the civilian population, which makes it difficult to avoid collateral damage when attacking them, and gives plausible cover for accusing the US or Israel of targeting civilians.
Both US and Israeli soldiers try to keep combat away from civilians, but are not always successful.

Israel has been defined by many international extensive as a 'terrorist state'. between the motives for it fairly is that they are the only u . s . interior the international who overtly say they use torture on prisoners. Their checklist on human rights is appalling and it fairly is actual that, from it fairly is totally inception, Israeli terrorists have been lionised by the Zionist state. this is obviously hypocritical to call the Palestinians terrorists and declare that Israelis are basically protecting their u . s .. it is not their u . s .. The Zionist state of Israel must be smashed if Jew and Arab have any threat in any admire of residing at the same time in peace. One or 2 human beings on right here could study up slightly in history.

Terrorism is the use of force or the threat of force to extract political concessions from an adversary.
Militants use bombs and assassination to dissuade people from participating in a political process set up by an invader.
It can be argued that since our invasion of Iraq violates international law, we are also terrorists.
Interestingly enough, attacks against our troops in Iraq are NOT considered to be terrorist attacks by any reporting agency.

Terrorism on the most part is staged or made up events.
Al Queda is really the CIA and other intelligent agencies networking together to control other countries and their resources.
911 was an inside job "False Flag" operation. Just like "Operation Northwoods" Google..... "Operation Northwoods" and have yourself a look.
False Flag operations are basically the American Way. We've been doing it for over 100 years.
Here is a very interesting site that is quite informative..
