I suppose Rice is meeting with Syrian terrorist because it's a (distateful) part of her job, and because the Administration is finally getting around to the "involve Syria and Iran" part of the Iraq Study Group's recomendations. That's a contrast with Pelosi's meeting with Syrian terrorist only in the 'part of the job' aspect.
