figure out what the largest shirt design area is, then make plain blocks a couple of inches larger than that, and cut out the tshirt front , iron it on to light weight wonder under, or heat and bond, then iron onto the block, if you want to stitch around it make sure you use the bonding fabric you can sew through, if you want to just iron it on then use the bonding fabric thats not sewn through, the people at Joann fabrics know what you mean, if you dont want to edge stitch the area of the knit fabric after you iron it on then you might want to go over your edge line with some fabric paint to make a border and to seal the edge of the knit fabric, then sew the blocks into a quilt, you may need to use plain blocks inbetween shirt blocks to make it large enough for her bed, or els just make it as a throw for over her bedspread.

You could cut the main part of all the t-shirt and make a kind of memory quilt. I was in marching band and I did that with all my t-shirts. Or if you didnt want to cut the t-shirts you could put the design from the shirts on an iron on transfer and then put it on a big piece of fabric and display that.

since old t-shirts can be so soft, they make a great quilt. I put links to 2 sites that have instructions below. you can also try putting together some shadow boxes, with the t shirts as the background, and add programs from performances, a dance shoe, tickets, etc, for some nice wall art.
Enjoy!!

We make quilts and pillows with our race shirts (runners, swimmers and triathletes!) and have them in our guest rooms, play rooms, cars, etc. It takes time but once you get all the graphics you want cut, just lay them out on a sheet or piece of fabric the size you want to make the quilt and see how you can best fit them. Pin them, sew them together and then use batting. We make BOTH sides of the item with tee shirts because we have so many and I assume your daughter does too! Pillows are usually made from shirts with larger graphics or from really important evetns (Ironman, Boston Marathon, etc).

Good luck!!!

Yes make a quilt.I have made three of these and they are great fun. You need to get the fusible stabilizer to iron on the back of each square you cut out -making sure that you iron it the opposite way of the stretch of the t-shirt. Then add sashing and you are good to go.
I have made the shirt square anywhere from 12-16" square. It's great fun to lay them all out to see what you get.

I'd make the quilt. You need to buy a stabilizer, or something, to put on the back of the tee shirt to make it easier to sew, and to hold the shape.

I would make a memory quilt for her. If you have pictures of each it would be greatto make a block out of them & put it next to each shirt block. This could make a big quilt & also have enought to make pillow shams also. This would be something she could keep for her daughter. joyce

If you sew well or know someone else who does, you can make a quilt. Here are instructions to help you get started:

If you don't sew, do a web search for "t-shirt quilts" and you'll find many companies that make and sell these. Or e-mail me, and I can make one for you.

Yes! Make a quilt! A friend of mine did this with all of her concert t-shirts from highschool and college, mixed with squares of denim from old pairs of jeans. I am considering doing it with my husbands old fraternity t-shirts.

u may take a picture of all the shirts hanging around in a room, and then put the shirts for auction with good caption like ".. shirts of a dancer with 16 yrs of dancing history.." etc.
