I just read this book and dont understand ...
1) The last chapter
2) How Tertuliano and Santa Clara got together with each other's wives.

read it again ! : )
however, I have found that "The Year of the Death of Ricardo Reis", by Saramago seems to be a far more inspirational book.

so, read that instead ! ; )
