I did when I was 12, got them off right after turning 13. I had an overbite, crooked teeth, and my teeth had to be realigned with a jasper jumper instead of headgear thank goodness. If you are getting them and haven't gotten your wisdom teeth yet make sure you keep on eye on your teeth when the wisdom teeth come in. I am going through that now, the wisdom teeth are pushing my other teeth around, so I have had 2 of them pulled, getting the other 2 pulled in about a week.

Yes and I hated them!! I was in Ecstasy the day they came off. I will admit I have a nice smile, as a result. Hang in there. Braces are only temporary.

Had them put on in Jr High and off in time for my Senior Portrait. Back in the old days when they looked like railroad tracks.

I have, for 4 1/2 yrs, partially reconstructed to give it a better bite so I can chew on food, and nice smile....

No. Dentist said that my teeth are natually straight and there is no overlapping of teeth. Thus, i don't have to wear any braces

Trust me, they aren't that bad =]

just removed my braces last friday! yay! but damn those retainers! they hurt and annoy me more than the braces!

no, but a lot of my friends did when I was a child and I used to get sooooooo jealous and want them so bad that I straightened out a paper clip and pretended it was a retainer!!! :-) Kids do weird things I guess ;-))
