Nancy Pelosi goes to Syria to, OH MY GOD, have DIALOG with a country that has influence in Iraq. That dialog could possibly help settle down Iraq. It certainly couldn't hurt. She is labeled as the "strongest ally" of the terrorists, and guess what? Condoleezza Rice is in Syria today! So apparently the Bush administration is also the terrorists strongest ally as well. What a pack of hypocrites the White House is. Why is it ok for Rice to go but not Pelosi!? I really, really don't get it. The Democrats are "the party of cut and run" apparently. Well the Republicans are the party of "lets ignore the world and especially the terrorists and then we'll see if the terrorists want to stop killing us." I don't see why leaving Iraq is worse than ignoring people directly involved with Iraq that are killing our men. What do you think? Am I right or am I right about the hypocritical thing at least? I know there are going to be so crazy far-right conservatives who'll lash out at me on the Iraq thing

First off its not okay to be hypocritical for any party, but the truth is that is how they get elected.

Second, Nancy Pelosi is not the President and it is not her place to go to Syria unless she is given that right by the President. She is the hypocrite in that situation because she took an oath to uphold her position. She is way overstepping her position as well as ignoring the leadership that she swore allegiance to.

Do you go negotiate a business deal for your boss, without his approval? You would be fired - especially if your idea for the deal was in an opposite direction than your boss wants to take the company!

No, as much as you want to label those that you hate you are completely wrong. It has always been accepted that our Government speak with one voice in foreign policy. It only serves to weaken the administration, which was really Pelosi's goal, if others in Congress attempt to negotiate with other political leaders.

Foreign Policy is in no way part of Congresses responsibility. It is Dr Rice's job to speak for the Administration, not Pelosi's.

Simply put, C. Rice is a representative of the president, the only one in the government that has the constitutional authority to conduct foreign affairs. Nancy, one of the best allies that the terrorists have, HAD NO AUTHORITY TO SPEAK TO ANYONE ABOUT ANYTHING within the realm of our nation's foreign affairs. Now, if she was on a pleasure jaunt for INDIVIDUAL affairs, that would be no ones business but hers. I doubt that any of the terrorists would give her a second look, however.

They'll also tell you that Pelosi is from a different branch of the government but then neglect to mention the Republican congressmen that went to Syria around the same time as Pelosi.

Hmmmm...How interesting...
Al Gore, Savior of the environment, owns 4 mansions, one of which uses more energy than 20 average homes, flies around in private jet...Nothing hypocritcal about that, is there?

And don't forget the demo's favorite: Hillary...bless her heart, did you hear her 'black venacular put-on' in Alabama?...Hilarious...But absolutely NOTHING hypocritical 'bout that , huh?

Demos will do ANYTHING to get votes...Including selling their souls...Hypocrisy is rampant on BOTH sides of the isle, my friend...And I am angry with SOME of them for trying a power ploy when it concerns funding for our men and women in harms way!...Now ain't the time!!

Just another example of how ridiculous the Republican party is, yet their followers are blind.

I swear, I would be embarassed right now if I was a Republican. They are a disgrace to our country.
