they advise u to wait until your piercing has completely healed, which can vary from one person to the next...i think the usual time is around 8 weeks or so...if u have any doubt, just consult with your piercer & he can check out your piercing & let u know if it`s ok...

Ring the place where you got it done! please.. becuase i got my nose pierced last year, Took it out cos i had to after less than a week. It was out for less than half an hour, and it never went back in again. I would say at minimum 6 weeks, Try and wait for a few months if you can though.

I believe it's between 3-6 months. You yourself have a sense of how well your body's adjusting to the piercing. Just keep it clean, and notice the level of sensitive that area has. The less sensitive it gets, I'd say it's safe to change it. Try avoiding to wear any other metals besides gold or silver. This will help reduce your chances in getting an infection.

do you mean to a different style or size or something like that?

I've had my nose done twice and I changed it to a smaller one right away cos the one they use was too big looking.
