when u start the topic matrices in maths, i think the 1st or the 2nd word a tutor should mention is rows/columns.. with that I think you should know that it is ROWS/COLUMNs. but what do you mean by storing info (in rows and columns) am cofused here.

rows and columns. but matrices r not computers that they store information. on solving determinants we may get informations such as area, coplanarity of points, etc.
