My youth group is thinking about getting adobe creative suite 3 putting me and my friend in charge of using and applying it. Only problem is that i have never used software like that before, even though i know what i am doing with computers most of the time. i guess i just don't want to let the rest of the group down if we spend the money on it and i totaly get lost and end up not able to use it. My question is: one, how easy is CS3 to use and learn to use, and two, is it worth the money. thanks for reading and any reply is appreciated.

well i've been using photoshop quite alot.. one word "fundamental" its like soccer the more you practice the more you know... same thing with photoshop the more picture you edit the more you'll learn... so technically saying, I think Photoshop CS3 is just piece of cake for your to learn... but you need to be interested -

you might have trouble learning the "layers" part... read book or get online help about how to master adobe photoshop "layers" once you mastered it then you are good! no more problemoss** you'll then would learn about transparency and other cool effects.. hope this helps .. and good luck! ~ hava nice day

It's worth the money: heap big power. With so much power, as I've heard it phrased, "it could take a lifetime to learn...". Watch for, say, community colleges in your area. A book I gave my spouse is very user-friendly and down-homey: The Photoshop Book For Digital Photographers by Scott Kelby (actually I've heard that ANY of his books are good!) So far, I've been learning Photoshop "by hook and crook"...I gave my photographer spouse Photoshop as a birthday present, and we'll take camera shop courses soon.

P.S. Also note that Photoshop and especially its component Adobe Bridge is a memory hog, so make sure your lil' ol' computer's ready for it!

image rotate canvas rotate 90 unless you want to make a landscape blank page.... then you just need to adjust the width and height: file new preset: custom then change the width to make it longer than the height. and if you want it printed landscape then that's in printing settings... or you could just rotate it first like i said above x x
