Move back to Colorado. Some times we have to swallow our pride and go back. I have. Haven't like to but it did turn out to be the right thing to do. People love you, and suicide is a total cop out. The battle you wage is within, and at the moment you are at a low point in your life. It happens. Go to a church nearby and talk to the pastor. They will help you. The Bible is the word of God, sometimes it does not appeal to you on the level you are at. It does not mean it is not having any influence on you. All and I said all who are christians and walk in the Lords' way have in one form or fashion been where you are right now. You "surprise" are actually very normal. Don't let your pride keep you for asking for help and accepting it. Musicians do make good money, some of them and a year from now you may be a world apart from your present circumstances and say Wow had I never been so low I'd never achieved to the status I am now. Don't you give up or throw it all away. I have a sneaky feeling you will do great things in your life, and help others. You are important, you have a priceless gift "your life". Make the right choices for the right reasons and don't dwell on negativity, please. Good Luck to you.

CALL HOME. I don't think anyone would want to blame you if you went home. Very few people can get it right the first time moving out. Some might take longer than others, but there is usually one point in most people's lives that they have to suck up their pride and start all over again or move back in with their parents. There is nothing in the world that is worth killing yourself for. GO HOME and start all over again and learn from your mistakes and improve on what you have learned about your experience. There are some things that can never change and one of them is committing suicide. It's a permanent solution to temporary problems. Besides, would you want your family to think that they didn't care enough to help you out, so all you had was to kill yourself? I think that would be a devastation that you wouldn't want to leave your family with.

Welcome to the realities of being a musician. An old friend, David, that I met from Colorado had the same dillema. I advised him the same Ill advise you--go where the comfort zone is!! Go see your family!!
I guess people come to NYC thinking that its "all that"-but it isnt! Since the outsourcing of work in general, every city has been suffering. Remember, before 2000 most musicians had ordinary jobs and the music was the passion. When the passion is all there is, and no money coming in, you're up s#@t creek.
Go to your safety zone!

Evans and Johnstown are merely armpits...stay far away. Greeley is a larger city, there's a school there. I disagree with the no jobs area. It was a finished farm community, it relatively is starting to be to be merely slightly extra vast city-ish, yet it relatively is sluggish going. Erie and Firestone (and Frederick and Dacono "tri-cities") are relatively severe-high quality and booming little communities. i could agree that there are no longer any jobs in Erie or Firestone themselves, yet the two are precise alongside I-25...an hassle-free commune to Denver, Boulder, or feet Collins. you additionally can examine Lafayette, Louisville, Longmont, Loveland, Broomfield, Westminster. Colorado is a greatplace to stay. stable success
