If i'm pregnant, I must have conceived sometime between early march and mid-march. However, for the last 2 mos. I have been having weird bleedings which i thought were periods, but I dont know. They are different than normal. Light to moderate bleeding and shorter than normal. It looked like more blood and less tissue. I have taken 2 hpt's before my last "period" which was on apr 23 and they were negative. Ever since then, i feel like i'm going to start my period. But my period is weeks away now (3-4 to be exact). My boobs get a little more sore by the day and they are swollen. How far along would i be if i DID concieve in early march? Would it be too early to have a bubble in the stomach? I am soooo bloated, it looks like i'm pg. The only thing that's throwing me off is the 2 negative hpt's and the "period"-type bleeding. I feel pregnant. Is it possible that you can still get negative results 7 weeks after conception and still bleed like a period?

I don't want to go to the doctor until i'm almost 100% sure i'm pregnant. I have somewhat a problem with anxiety and i don't want to look like an idiot if i turn out not to be pregnant.

Yes you can have a negative HPT 7 weeks after conception. Some women have had negative HPT’s into their 4th month (rare, but it happens!). A negative is only 50% accurate on a urine test where a positive is about 99% accurate.

As for the bleed - the first could be 'implantation' bleeding - this is where the embryo find's its home in the uterus. The other could be multiple things: still cycling while pregnant(again rare, but it happens), post intercourse spotting (did you have sex and then spotted?), pregnancy spotting (this is something to speak with a doctor about).

A couple options are:
Take another HPT - either get a few dollar store ones and take them a few days apart or purchase one like 'first response' that is much more sensitive to smaller amounts of HCG (the growth hormone found in urine)

Make a doctor appointment and get a blood test or they may do an intra-vaginal ultrasound to look for an embryo.

Take care and I hope all goes how you wish!

If you do not want to go until you are positive and you are still getting negative HPTs, purchase some over the counter prenatal vitamins and take them until your next cycle. The only thing prenatals will do if you are not preggo is make your hair and nails grow faster and maybe give you some heartburn. :-)

If this cycle is also not 'normal' - very light or not at all and you still get a negative HPT - make an appointment with your doctor for cycle issues. You can tell the doc you do not think you are preg because you took HPT and they were negative, but your cycles have not been normal and you are concerned. Then let them double check for pregnancy and let them tell you - hey your pregnant or no, the cycle issue is due to stress.

Three months of unusual cycles is reason to be checked out.

Take care.

I am not quite sure about 7 weeks...but I will tell you that I tested negative until after five weeks and AFTER having my period. One day after my period stopped, BAM -- positive pregnancy tests. So I would say yes, it is possible. Unfortunately, mine ended in a M/C. If I were you, I would go to the doctor and get a blood test. That will tell you for sure. Good luck.

sounds like you have fooled yourself into believing you are pregnant when your not. a test would be positive by now if you were pregnant. the mind can be convinced your pregnant when your not when its all you think about. you can have all the signs and not be this is called a hysterical pregnancy. many women have these the whole nine months the grow tummys and go into labor but deliver nothing as they werent pregnant. go to the doctor and get a blood test done but i seriously doubt your pregnant

you just need to go to the docs, they'll do a test, if it says negative, they'll do a blood test and that will tell you for sure. the swelling sounds alot like your pregnant, but your doctor will tell you for sure. good luck! (",)
