not a lot, never by my dad but mom got me pretty good maybe four or five times. she used to make me go out in the yard and pull a thin limb from a bush to spank me with. One time I came back inside with just a leaf. That was a big mistake!

Whipped with a thick, leather razor strap once, at the age of 5, for not coming straight home from school. And whipped around my legs with a leather belt at age 8, again for being late coming home.
Other than that, hit with Mom's hand around my face and head. Once, she pushed my barrette into my skull, and I was bleeding into my white-blonde hair. Teacher saw that, and Mom had to explain why to the authorities.

My parents were more of the time out and lecture until my ears are bleeding kind of parents.
thank god I'm an adult and don't have to many lectures anymore...but even in college and a 2 day drive away they still get on my case.

Hated it as a child (I used to put books down the back of my pants to lessen the blow when I knew one was coming!! LOL. My parents weren't fooled. Then I'd look at them and say "That didn't hurt" and go to my room and cry.) As an adult it can be fun with my bf.

yes, and i appreciate my parents for doing so. The bible even saids spare the rod, spoil the child. I am not a religious person but I totally agree with that.
