Several uncles and cousins used to stutter. They all got help from The Stuttering Foundation's book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" by working through the book each step at a time and then going back through it until they had mastered everything. Only one also went to a speech therapist who specialized in treating stuttering that he found through The Stuttering Foundation's list of referrals. With practice and loads of patience with themselves plus the support of the rest of the family as we learned how we could help, they all overcame the stuttering with exceptions of times of great stress.

R words are difficult to control,you just have to find that trick of saying words that start with an R.
But for the M words there is a easy trick to say them without stuttering.
Never try to pronounce the M in a word sort of speak the M automatically does it when your mouth opens.M words start with the lips being closed and opening to finish the word.
For example: The word Mike. Your lips are closed when at start. As soon as you open your lips/mouth say "ike" forget the M! The M basically sounds its self off,there for eliminating the fear of the M in a M-Word.
When saying More,open your lips/mouth and say "ore"
Simple little trick,hope it helps.
It sort of tricks the brain! ;)
Modify = odify
Monkey = onkey
and so on.Im sure you get the point.

Hi, i used to have the same problem when i was younger, the best thing i did was go to speech therapy they taught me loads of ways to control it, like when you know you are going to stutter say "mmmmmmm" to yourself until the word is ready to come out, I am sure you will be ok, good look

I'm no specialist so this is a layman's suggestion. I don't know if it'll work but i surely hope you overcome your problem.
'R' needs us to roll our tongue and exhale. 'M' also is deep and we mostly exhale when pronounce it. So, try to relax your breathing whenever you're talking. Try your best to stay calm and even your breathing and speak.
Make a list of the words that start with R and M since you face difficulty with them. If with others then do the same and read them aloud. then make sentences with as many 'r' and 'm' words as you can. Its tedious task but will be worth it.
And yes, if you can make a visit to a speech therapist.

Practice by singing. When you sing, you don't stutter as much. Then you can work on moving from singing to talking.

See a speech therapist.. best advice I have for you.. other than that.. try to figure out if it is just a nervousness thing.. and if so try to remember to breath and relax..

use hand gestures before opening your mouth.. like snapping your fingers before 2 -3 times before saying anything.. oh it also helps if you're mentally prepared
