Thanks for the suggestion of making shopch and billch into char instead of int. But that doesnt solve the problem. Try using the compiled program yourselves. Type your name, then y, then 1, then y.... the error will then appear... the whole thing seems to be repeating endlessly!!

You need to initialize the tot variable.

Why did you make shopch & billch integers? I think they would be better used as characters.

looks like it will repeat until you enter something other than "y". (after you enter your name, y, 1, y)
