Push on the brake and look to see if there's a leak. If there is, fix it immediately! JUST LOOK. If break a brake line, you're gonna crash into the back of the car that's stopped in front of you. So fix it, or at least, promise you won't drive behind me. You CANNOT HAVE A LEAK IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM. Fix it if you see one.

If the brake line is severed, then you will either have no brakes or the pedal will be soft and spongy. Most cars now have dual master cylinders that will still let 2 wheels do the braking if a line is ruptured.

The brake line would need to be replaced immediately. Do not drive a car with a broken brake line. With the line replaced, flush out the system and unstall new brake fluid, and bleed the brakes. good luck

if a brake line is broke, you will notice the peddle feels spongy or goes to the floor. you will also see a fluid leak on the ground while pressing on the brakes (considering there is still fluid in the Master Cylinder). you will need to replace that section of line or hose that is broken, and make sure the brake system is bled properly to remove all the air.
