A medication expires when it no longer contains 90% of the original amount of drug. Most retain some potency after expiration...but not all. In particular tetracycline degrades into a poisonous form. It is not alone. Expired medications can hurt you.

DO NOT TAKE EXPIRED MEDICATIONS.

Usually it's okay to take for up to 6 months after expiration date. Exceptions would be Nitro and some antibiotics, among others.

November wasn't that long ago. They may have just become a little bit weaker. There is no need to throw it out, meds don't get moldy or toxic. Take the prescibed dose, and if you don't notice relief of symptoms, take another dose, or a half dose.

Medication loses it's potency after a year. Some may not work at all or they might not work as well. If it's an antibiotic you shouldn't take the chance and just get some more.

Depends on what it is. If it is an antibiotic, I wouldnt expect it to work. I have taken pills that were expired, like Tylenol and the like, and it worked out fine.
