My nephew is 7 and hes cross eyed and drools all the time...
My brother says he's special but I think hes a Mental Retard...
How do I approach this b/c they let him loose all the time and think he is no harm to others. I tell them he needs to be kept indoors supervised ,but I feel like they wont figure it out until he kills a neighbor kid. (Like Jeffrey Dahmer did) I dont know should I call the police??????
Help please

This is absolutely disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourself to talk about someone like that. I certainly don't think this a real question... If it is, I think you should let the ADULTS handle this in a mature fashion, they know what to do about safe gaurding someone with a handicap from hurtful people like you. You should love people no matter what special needs they have. And to - MINDRAPE, God loves everyone, even you surprisingly. Both of you- Get a life!

First and foremost Dahmer didn't have a learning disability. I strongly believe in what goes around comes around. When you have children I would be weary that the Lord will bless you with one of these special children so that you can realize who the real "retard" is. That's a Hint. I would answer you're question seriously if I thought you had the intelligence to comprehend.

I hope his family keeps him away from you. It's people like you that that look down on them and call people names that are different. Then we wonder why they go to school and shot everybody. Uhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

People that think like you need to be supervised and keep indoors. Hey someone call the police on you.

I would start by showing more concern for your nephew and his personal safety and not placing labels on the child. That's a job for the doctors. I agree your nephew needs supervision, as does any child with special needs, but that doesn't necessarily not allowing him to experience different things and help him grow. Without putting your brother in a defensive mood, ask him what testing the doctors have done and what the doctors and school professionals have recommended for your nephew. Be supportive.

First you have to take this slowly exspecialy if it's family.Look at all the pros and cons of the situation and if they are not doing there job as a parent and you see the child might be harmed in some way or he might harm someone then you have to protect the child, not just from himself but from others as well. Just because a child has special need does not mean that they need to be cooped up in doors, they need to be treated just like any other child, and as normal as posible.

Wow....where to start....
First of All..serial killers like Jeffrey Dahmer are not mentally handicapped.
We do not "keep" people indoors..they are not parakeets.
If your nephew has parents, it is their responsibility to make decisions for your nephew..not yours.
Even if he is severely handicapped, he should be able to be a part of the community.

I really hope this isnt some sick question of yours. However calling him a retard or a tard isnt helping him any. If you want to help him get involved and dont be putting him down. What has he done to make you think he is gonna kill people. Do you want him locked away so no one sees him. That is what I get from your question and thankfully in the US for the most part we no longer lock away our mentally chalenged realtives in back rooms never to be seen by the world.

Tard is very mean spirited. I hope that was written to mean that something seems mentally or cognitively wrong with him.

If you love him, you need to be more supportive.

Isn't he in school? If you think he needs special education, and your family uses "special" he probably is. You need to be more supportive to them and talk with them about his eyes and drooling....there are disabilities and medications that cause drooling. There are so many support groups for families and parents of children with disabilities, you better get on board!

Calling him names, comparing him to a serial killer, and thinking that he needs to be inside is also VERY mean spirited and hurtful. He needs to be supported and loved unconditionally, accepted and assisted in his play -- if he isn't physically harming the kids, then let him be a boy!

Shame on you for your mean, hurtful post! I pray that you open your mind, sounds like you can learn from kids with impairments, but you need to open your mind!

Honestly man, whether this is or is not a joke, you really need to find the maturity to ask questions in a manor that is respectable. Your nephew is a blessing, either be nice or stay away. he has feelings like everyone else, get a life and grow some balls

First you should not refer to your nephew as a tard! He is a human being who has feelings. We no longer live in the days of if someone is different we can lock them away. Why not work on building some character in yourself. I'm sure people may wonder about you and your short comings as a human being.
