Newcastle are crying out for a decent manager to take them up the league. Does Glen Roeder deserve another crack next year or is big Sam the man ?

Newcastle has been underperforming for years now, even though their Chairman has invested millions in the transfer market for well-known players. The Chairman is ambitious to bring the club forward, and the fans are very passionate with their club. However, they are frustrated with the inability of the managers to turn the club to a top 6 club in the EPL regularly and that prompted Newcastle to look out for a more capable Manager. The fans and Chairman has been impatient with the recent years results and performance and it could spell the end of Glenn Roeder's reign.
Manchester City is on the verge of taking over by a consortium, which means the new owner is trying to bring the club forward as well. And with Stuart Pearce not performing to the task to bring the club to the top of the EPL, it is most likely he will be sacked.
Sam Alladyce's reason for leaving Bolton is the management's lack of ambition. Big Sam has been building the team on a shoe-string budget and is able to build Bolton to a mid to top level club. He wants the club to match his ambition by providing him with huge transfer fund, but was rejected. He wants to lead the club to regularly playing in Europe through UEFA and the Champions League. However, he is not getting it in Bolton. With the prospect of a job offer at Newcastle or Manchester City, he has decided to quit the club. It is likely that he will end up in Newcastle because he wants to build the team early through pre-season. He view that he is not able to do that as Manchester City will not be able to finalise the takeover before the pre-season, which means he will not have sufficient time to buy the players he wants. And Newcastle is able to match Big Sam's ambition by providing the transfer funds he needed.

Glen Roeder will be staying, he deserves another chance i personally think we are in a reasonable position right now, we had 13 injured 1st team players and roeder still managed to get the lads to win games i think its an achievment, with the like of owen and ameobi back well do wonders next season a couple of defenders need to be bought and the likes of luque need to be sold, Carroll is a star in the making, come on the toon!!! :D

I'm quite pleased with the quality players he's acquired so far. But I thought our immediate concerns should be at the central defensive and left back positions. We released 4 players from that 2 positions so I thought Allardyce should really look into those areas first. Edmilson is a quality central defender and should be a great addition to the squad, but I fear we might be bringing in another injury prone player. We would technically have a revamped lineup in our backline which should take time to gel, and as the long season progresses, injuries kick in and our defensive inadequacies may start resurfacing again. I'm optimistic that we will be challenging for european qualification at some point or another but realistically I'm looking at another midtable finish. But I feel with this current squad, we will perform well in the domestic cup competitions come next season.

Big Sam needs a big club with cash to spend. Newcastle need a personality manager with visionary ideas, to get them going again. I sincerley hope so!

Quite a few teams require a decent manager, England for starters. I doubt he will go to Newcastle though.

Who cares now that he has left Bolton. Hope that no-one offers him a job in the top division and he has to go back to his home town club of WBA
