10, 24, 26 form a right triangle

a^2 + b^2 = c^2
10^2 + 24^2 = 26^2
100 + 576 = 676
676 = 676

Just square the three numbers, they must satisfy this

a^2 + b^2 = c^2 where c is the largest side

the square of the smallest number + the square of the next number = the square of the largest number

7^2 + 9^2 = 12^2
49 + 81 = 144
130 = 144 not a right triangle because they are not equal

10^2 + 24^2 = 26^2
100 + 576 = 676
676 = 676 This will form a right triangle

10 24 26

Pythagorean Theorem

c² = a² + b²

√c² = √(10²) + (24)²

√c² = √100 + 576

√c² = √676

c = 26

You have to check which of these triples
satisfy a² + b² = c².
The only one that does is 10,24,26
since 10² = 100
24² = 576
26² = 676.
