in michigan can you legally move out at 17 years old with out being emapancipated?

No. You can't. You can not enter into any legal or binding contract. That would mean with regards to a bank account, housing rent contract, or vehicle contract. Most parents are just happy to see their child so eager to get at life on their own.

Michigan defines a minor as being "under the age of 18." This includes age 17. If you moved out, your parents could file a report with the police and undoubtedly, you'd soon either be reunited with your parents or arrested.

I don't think so. I went to school with a girl who was only 17 and she moved out, however she was emancipated from her parents. This was back in 1994, the laws may have changed.
