To a point. We cannot all be happy all the time. Their are people out there who claim they are happy, their life is wonderful, they always smile, and talk about how good it all is. Get to know them, they are completely miserable and living a lie. We need a balance. Somedays are great, and some not so great. It is that balance that makes life fun. You can't be on cloud nine everyday, but you can't be in the gutter everyday either. It is about being you, loving yourself and dealing with your situations. This is life. This can be happy, just not always. So in turn it is a challenge and a blast.

To me this question and most of the answers so far are a hilarious contradiction. If we understand that happiness is a state of being in which we are not depressed and if everyone one is this way how could it be boring or sickening. We all strive to be happy. If it is the case that another persons happiness causes you distress you have much to learn. Happiness can only be found inside your self.

I believe that happiness is a respective emotion, what i mean is that if youve never experiance sorrow you can never truely be happy!

If we equate happiness to money (not money = happiness, but more like a penny is sad and a pound is happy) and everyone got given a billion pounds each month, sure we'd be happy... for a little while. Then as the time went by we'd revert back to normal. For without sadness there is no joy, without hate there is no love, without cold there is no warmth... its all respective.

Boring. Life is nothing without the extra emotions, so all that happiness would make me very angry........And then it would in turn destroy the entire happy system, and I would be happy again.

No....coz if some1 was bored or sickened or both then not every1 would be happy? Does that make sense?

Defiently sickening. I wish things didnt have to get as bad as they sometimes do, though, maybe some tears here and there.

Not as long as we don't allow ourselves to become fat, and complacent. I am always seeking a greater joy...
