I would rather have my teeth pulled than watch American Idol.........I hope Ryan Seacrest gets voted off next.
It's sad when you think about it. Like my sister in law- she revolves her week around that dumb show.....uuuggghhh
What happened to reading? or going out?

It's really gotten old and boring. The first thing I don't like about it is the title "American Idol"....I don't think so. Sure it was a big hit at first but they've run it into the ground. I agree with you about reality tv, who's reality are they referring too anyways? I guess people are just bored

I was tired of it from the first day it aired.
I cannot believe it has been or was successful. I am still amazed.
I have never seen one episode of it though I think all the contestants have been nice and am happy to see them all make a go of things.
And I agree about the other shows too.
I have seen a few of the hair dresser episodes. They have 2 of them swap salons to see how they will do. There is another one about running the lady's hair salon.
Reality TV is cheap to the producers and studios. It gets ratings and that equals sponsors.
So it is cheap to make and rakes in the cash...
This means more of it...
Oh well.

I'm with you on this one. A show about hairdressers? How mundane is that! I'd rather watch a show about grass growing. If I wanted to see a bunch of boring people do their boring job, I'd go hang out at Subway and watch people build sandwiches. TV execs love to make these shows because they don't have to hire actors and it saves them a ton of money. Us viewers encourage this, though, by watching it. If the ratings weren't good enough to sell ads for this junk, they'd stop making so much of it.

I never saw American Idol before. I don't care what happens on that show or other reality tv shows. I don't want to see reality on tv because I see enough of it in my own life.

Not me. I love American Idol, Survivor and Big Brother. I'd watch more, too, (like Amazing Race and Dancing with the Stars) but I only have so much time and there are other programs I want to watch and there are other things I want to do.
Really, what does it hurt for you to hear about AI at work? At least they aren't talking about YOU.

its a farce an incredable money generating thing for cell phone providers ,30,000,000 votes a week at least x 4 . do the math. there has only been two winning stars worthy of being what is called american idol come off that show , kelly clarkson , carrie underwood .... fantasia , ruben studdard and talyor hicks ... never will be stars but hold a titles of winner . votefor the worst.com has helped to destroy that show . it has degenerated to just short of believable as wrestling

I wouldn't go so far as to say I am "sick and tired" of it, because it doesn't really enter into my consciousness too much, but I am saddened that American Idol is as big a deal with people as it is. The singers suck, the music is dreadful and it makes me think we Americans have questionable taste when it comes to music and television.

Yeah its frikkin retarded. Especially American Idol. I watched alil bit of the first season, and its dumb. Plus I heard the other day from stupid people who watch it at work that Jack Black was on there singing and they all said he sucked. That sez alot about the judges right there considering that anyone that has ever heard Tenacious D knows better. The D lays it down for modern rock n roll!!!!!
And when I want to watch retarded stuff, I watch funny retarded stuff like Family guy and ATHF (rock on). Why do I care who gets famous or not, its not me right?

I watched the 3rd Season (When Fantasia won) and that was more than enough.
It's so annoyingly over the top and very predictable. The TV stations will do anything for good ratings.
And really, besides Kelly Clarkson, who else is doing anything with their title now???
