Your question sent me off on a search. On http://www.brainyquote.com it's attributed to Aristotle,
The whole is *more* than the sum of it's parts....
It takes 5 fingers to make a hand. One finger by itself can't hold much, all 5 working together can do much more.... A gear by itself is just a gear. A bunch of gears working together is an engine... I guess it's an axiom?

Are you talking about total mass? Cause the whole is equal to the sum of all parts, roughly means. If you took an apple and cut it into 5 pieces that no matter what ~Inless you ate some~ the 5 pieces put back together would still equal the sum of the whole object. In turn this would mean that what your really asking is the total mass or volume of an object is it's whole? Yes, but I guess i'm not sure your asking that. I'm woundering if you want to know what they call "The whole is equal to the sum of all it's parts" Sorry if i'm not helping have a wounderful day and smile because you deserve it. Peace lil hommie

digilook, confident, i agree. maximum people look to maintain dividing "the full", God, Unconditional love, into innovations and thoughts then dividing those into further and further never-ending components. we ought to consistently flow any opposite direction. meditate on God, team spirit in unconditional love. because of fact the colours of the rainbow are contained in solar, in an attempt to are all issues contained interior the mild of Gods unconditional love. digilook is conscious this, thank you for the question.
