The most important of the two.. is the BRAIN.

Without the Brain, even the heart itself cannot function.. it will stop beating because it won't receive impulses from the brain any longer. So although the heart "keeps us alive" it cannot do so without help.

Also, we as humans are our brains. A heart, without a brain, is like a mindless body - practically "dead". We think, feel, see..etc through our brain.

Biologically, the Brain wins. A machine can keep us alive indefinitely provided that there is a constant flow of blood to the Brain.
Philosophically, I am a Male and We have that remarkable abbility to be able to switch Ourselves off emotionally. That takes brains. Or so are not to labor the point, a Brain.

The Heart. Without the heart their would not be life.

What do YOU mean by "important"?

Technically speaking, in a healthy body neither one can work without the other - and you can't "work" without BOTH. So neither is "more" important.

(The question of whether they can be kept functioning by artificial means is surely irrelevant to their relative "importance"?)
