Hmmm....I'm sure there some specialties in each country that are yummy. I've been to a candy shop that imported and sold English treats and they were good. I'd have to say that US has a much wider selection, but I could e very wrong not having been to the UK to see for myself. We probably share allot of the same candies too.
What ever happened to those unique candy stores back in the day? I miss those. They had a distinct smell to them I can't explain. We would gather our loose change and just be in awe looking at all the cool candy! I'm only 33, so it wasn't too far in the past, good times :)

No, human beings can behave without a god.Think back to the famous atheists through out history. Famous Atheists have done great things. Take Bill Gates, he is a famous Atheist who donates so much of his money towards poverty and the furtherance of education. Also think about the horrors that have been done in the name of god. The crusades. Women's health clinics that provide abortions have been targets of violence. 911. The Ku Klux Klan are proponents of a fundamentalist Christian theology strongly influenced by Christian Reconstructionism, hoping to "reconstruct" the United States along biblical (primarily Old Testament) lines and establish a white-dominated theocracy. Some famous events in history include Albigensian Crusade, 1208, St. Bartholomew's Day massacre, 1572, Gunpowder Plot, 1605, the list goes on. I say all that to say this. Just because you are a Christan does not make you a moral person, and just because you are an Athiest does not make you immoral.

Both the UK and the US have good ''sweeties'' it depends what you like or are in the mood for. I'm from the British West Indies and the sweeties there are different from the US but delicious as well.

I don't know if they're better, just different. The states seem to have more of a range than we do - when I was over in NY I spent a while looking at the sweets in the shop because they all have weird and wonderful names compared with ours. Then again I remember there were a few things that I missed whilst I was over there too, so I guess it's just what you're used too. I know I could buy over US sweets if I wanted to through certain sites on the web.

I don't consider chocolate candy - more like dessert if it has chocolate on it. Candy to me is kinda gross, I don't like all the sugar on it usually makes me sick to my stomach, chocolate, well what girl doesn't like chocolate?? but in moderation of course as that will make you sick too it's so sweet!! (I just had half a chocolate long john and I'm good for a while!) But chocolate in the UK is ok - Cadbury's is the best! I fell in love when I went to Sainsbury's and they had a whole aisle dedicated to Cadbury's chocolate! I never knew there were that many kinds of Cadbury chocolate bars! My fav is the one that looks like a Twix but it's got soft crumbly chocolate on the inside, mmmm just falls apart in your mouth!

Well one sweet I love is American and I have to import it - Twizzlers!!!!
Love them!!
But besides that - UK sweets are better!
I am living in Germany at the moment - and the sweets are not as great as the UK either - and ven the ones you can buy in either country still taste different here - strange that!
