Bears already have arms, but if given the choice as to whether to give them arms...hmmm...maybe they should just have legs. And furthermore Charmin is already giving bears toilet paper, when they should just shake their booties and be done with it.
Now if you mean give bears weapons. Hell no, what happens when they're hibernating, any creature might make off with their guns.

There are a few points to consider:
1. How much weapons training have the bears had?
2. If the bear raises his weapon and says "spread em" do you?
3. If the bear shoots first, do you have the right to shoot first?
4. What warning can you expect from the bear before he fires?
5. None of this seems like it should be a bear necessity.
6. Shouldn't this be a gum free society? It would keep my shoes soles a hell of a lot cleaner...

Yup, and I never want to have to, but IF you have chance to call for help, the police can't be there before you're dead. There are more nutjobs running around looking to be # 1 on the mass murder list than ever before, I at least want a CHANCE to defend myself. And I agree 100% if someone breaks into your home you have every right to repell them by any means neccesary, if you are not secure in your own home you are not secure anywhere. I'd expect to get shot if I broke into someone else's house, other's need to expect the same from me. In our neighborhood, home invasions don't happen, because of this. Also, all able bodied men, between ages 18 and 45, can be compelled to serve in times of crisis, and if they have learned how to use and handle a gun they will be a lot more valuable than those who know how to sue. And, while the creation of the "National Guard" eliminated the need of the state millitias, in the post-Katrina blame game the control of state national guards was given to the President, making them federal jurisdiction not state, so said 2nd ammendment has more legs than before, because we have no "home guard" if they are pulled away on other assignments..

I'm not sure if I'd want to be chased by a bear w/ a gun , would scare the sh!t out of me.I do however agree w/ our right to "bear" arms - guns by themselves don't kill - it's the unstable person handling the gun. Strict gun laws will not solve anything, they will still be readily available for purchase on the streets.

Sure you know a lot of those bears have been killed by the Hunter!!!I say give them the right to arm themselves- then between their size, thier strength and a weapon maybe they will still be around 100 years from now.

Yes cause bears should be able to defend themselves too
We must be sure to perform background checks on the bears and make sure they are here legally. Any bear with a criminal record including harassment of tourists should not be allowed to have a gun.

Yep...but they should administer a test for basic gun safety knowledge, require testing for safe gun handling, and keep weapons out of the hands of idiots who don't know which end the bullet/shot comes out of, and those that don't know to NEVER point a weapon at anyone they don't want dead.
Hmmm...just re-read the question...do Bears have the right to bear arms?
