Fish include
- Figure 8 puffer
- Molly/Guppy offspring
- Red Oscar
They all do it, but mostly my puffer, all are healthy and happy as far as I can tell, but they sometimes seem like they are loosing their minds.

FYI - Figure 8 puffers can live in freshwater, some people believe they do better. Mine has been here for over 5 months and is a seemingly happy fish.
ALSO - the oscar is seperated with a divider from the other guys, he is a bully needless to say.

They are pretty inttelligent! Maybe it is an indication of their desire for freedom from captivity!

now and returned while fish do this it ability they are bored and your tank lacks decor/toys for it to play around in. are you optimistic the tank is right length for this fish? could desire to be too small. are you optimistic that's stored interior the comparable temp through fact the different fish? are you optimistic this fish could be on my own or does it choose a school? different then that it';s possibly the two bored, getting used to that's environment. besides the undeniable fact that I even have by no ability seen fish swim up and down while they are placed into new tanks. my puffer used to do this specifically through fact my tank became into too small and lacked ornament now i upgraded to a tank 5 cases the previous length and it does not swim up and down the climate as normally. it nevertheless lacks ornament yet a minimum of while that's bored it could swim freely.

In the wild fish will swim to different areas if they don't like the conditions they're living in. In an enclosed environment like you have, they're stuck.
Either that or they could be scraping algae off of the glass, which is unlikely for a meat eater.
puffers are brackish fish aren't they? What are they doing in with an oscar? One of them is going to suffer in that combo.

Doesn't usually mean anything, they are just very energetic! It's probably just their personality. Sometimes mine do that too and they are healthy as can be. As long as their fins are intact and they are swimming well, you have nothing to worry about.

depends on where the "current" in your tank is located. we need more info, they may also just be bored. i noticed that by putting those floaty up-down characters in there they tend to copy what the character did...which was cute. they may also be hungry...

There probably isn't enough decorations or plants. Add some more plants/deco and they should be swimming fine.
