It's has been my experience that Beatles fans are generally more aggressive than those of other bands from the 60's. I'm just wondering why.

Aggressive in what way? Fan appreciation? Tae Bo? Bingo on Saturday night? Have you met diehard Rolling Stones fans, specfically those who enjoy Bill Wyman quadraphonic remixes? Or Freddie & The Dreamers fans who constantly have to remind you how much they're telling you now? DO YOU?!?!? Do you see crowds of women with big teeth wondering why Peter Noone is a saint? WHAT?

clueless as to what you mean. I'm a Beatle fan. I don't think that has made me any more aggressive than the average person, who is not a fan.

i think the fans weren`t necessarily aggressive...as it was the 1st experience of this type of fan adulation on a widespread basis, it just seems like they were more hysterical...the beatles were one of the 1st bands to attract such a massive, adoring audience & as a lot of their fans were young females, their hero-worship manifested itself in ways that had never been seen before, not even with earlier stars like frank sinatra or elvis presley...

Perhaps they just want everyone else to know that, in their opinion, the Fab Four are pretty much responsible for most of the music we now hear. Could be that they're upset with what they see as general ignorance of that notion.

I think they take that crack about 'being more popular than Jesus' a tad bit too much to heart, to be honest. I mean, there was no super group before The Beatles and when you're the first at anything...well, it explains itself.

They're angry about John Lennon's death - his marriage to Yoko Ono, public hatred about Magical Mystery Tour - the movie, Ringo never quite made it on his own, and oh yes! Could be all that acid they've been busy ingesting...

I've never noticed anything like that. In fact I would say the opposite is true.

Can you explain what you mean? Do they punch you? Walk around shouting in people's faces? Growl? Bare their teeth?

Do tell!
