Poor Cesar Vallejo. He wrote a poem which was assigned as a homework assignment and now no one will bother to read his poem and THINK about it.
It's a shame. Poor, poor Vallejo.

Try to read the poem and ask the teacher if you do not understand it. Otherwise, here I will respond but I think the teacher wants to know about your own interpretation.
The whole poem is symbolic.
figures of speech include:
personification - dead evenings
symbolism - mama. brother is now not blood brother but reference made to communist comrades
metaphor - bottomless emptiness
