1. we would be worst than they are.
2. Other super - power nations would not sit by and let this happen.
3. We would have severe sanctions placed upon us by the U.N.
4. It would be our financial responsibility to repair the entire nation and bring it to a point where its people can live at a level that they are now.
5. We could be banned from the global market when other countries refuse to do business with the US
I think you can see there is a long term effect to a short term solution.
BTW : If this were permitted in the world then that would imply that the Twin Towers was a proper solution and we should just accept it. After all, if it is OK for us to " Just bomb them " to solve our problem then it has to also be OK when they bombed the Towers to solve their problem.
That kind of remark / thinking is very, very Dark Ages, and illustrates the mentallity of the poster. Anyone with half a brain living today knows a lot better than this - it is not a solution it is only an expression of anger.

Powerful as one country maybe, it will need support from the rest of the planet at some point. When that day comes only those who have not been offended wil rally to the call for aid. We still live on a primitive planet. We are little advanced from the dark ages, our science and medicine is little removed from alchemy, we can destroy the planet, but we cannot solve problems like fair trade, democracy, pollution, equality, and poverty. We live in a blinkered, consumer orientated society that wrongly believes private industry can solve all our problems.
Apart from that, nuke whomever you want, just don't ask me to support you when you do it. Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao Tse Tung, they were the type of people to say bomb the lot and let God sort it out, do you want to be in that sort of company?

Bombing will kill some innocent people,animals, birds , destroy vegetation,create pollution,add to global warming and produce unwanted environmental changes .
