Curse those battery powered Mars Rovers. They are raising dust and
causing climate change on Mars. This is all bullshit, they don't know
for sure what the reason for warming is on Earth or Mars.
Some scientists say it's caused by changes in solar activity, I would
think the rise in temperature on Mars supports that idea.

Climate change hits Mars

Mars is being hit by rapid climate change and it is happening so fast
that the red planet could lose its southern ice cap, /writes Jonathan
Leake/.

Scientists from Nasa say that Mars has warmed by about 0.5C since the
1970s. This is similar to the warming experienced on Earth over
approximately the same period.

Because, global warming believers dismiss any sort of science that might even hint that global warming is caused by something else other than humans. This is a link to an article by National Geographic suggesting that it is possible, that since Mars is warming at the same time, and similar rate as the earth is may be a warming of the sun rather than human made. You may or may not believe this, and that is fine. We don't know for sure what is causing global warming, and science is always learning new things. Things we never thought of before. Even as recent as 20 years ago, we had no proof of planets outiside of our solar system, now we know of many. 10 years ago we thought the age of the universe was 8-10 billion years old, now we know it is closer to 20. We may find something out about the sun, and it warms and cools every so often and this is a warming phase. Then again maybe not, but when someone who is skeptical of global warming as a human cause presents an alternate theory, global warming believers don't need to dismiss it as lies, or right wing hogwash.

Mars has a very thin atmosphere made mostly of carbon dioxide. The surface pressure on Mars is only about 0.7% of the average surface pressure at sea level on Earth. Also, the atmospheric pressure on Mars changes seasonally because the temperature is cold enough that some of the carbon dioxide freezes during the winter and "snows" onto the polar cap. This greatly reduces the amount of carbon dioxide left in the atmosphere. During the summer, when the polar cap warms up again, the carbon dioxide goes back into the atmosphere. Compare with Venus's atmosphere.

Venus has a dense atmosphere, composed chiefly of carbon dioxide, which generates a surface pressure 90 times greater than that on Earth. This massive blanket of carbon dioxide is also responsible for a runaway greenhouse effect that heats the planet's surface to an average temperature of 467°C (872°F) – hot enough to melt lead.

Venus' atmosphere consists almost entirely (97%) of carbon dioxide, with clouds containing droplets of sulfuric acid along with compounds of chlorine and fluorine. These precipitate an acid rain called virga, which evaporates before it has the chance to reach the surface. In the upper part of the atmosphere, clouds swirl by at a rate of 300 km/h, driven by fierce winds.

Climate change has been a topic in the news for some 100+ years now. Sometimes the news is about cooling(next ice age stuff) sometimes it's about warming(today) What is constant however is a desire to blame the actions of man and in particular modern man for the acts of nature. The sky is falling crowd always wants productive people to change their behavior to live smaller to have less children. All of this of course is contrary to human nature, and if we know one thing it is that those things contrary to human nature are doomed to fail(Communism comes to mind). Developing countries want the benefits of modern life, it is only natural. The question should then be. Are we as a nation willing to shut down 1 power plant for everyone that is built in a developing country? Will we take 1 auto off the road for every one purchased in a developing country? Should we sacrifice our modernity for the benefit of emerging nations? Or should we use our military might to make sure the developing world continues to live a preindustrial existence?

Measurements of the climate on Mars are spotty and inconsitent at best. Compare the four of five temperature measurements on Mars per year to the seemingly constant monitoring of the climate on earth.

There is no doubt that Global Warming is at least partially man-made, studies like these remind me of the cancer studies paid for by the tobacco industry back in the 80's, the express intent is to muddy the waters.

1) the Mars Rovers are solar powered, not battery powered.

2) You are equally uninformed on the global warming issue. Scientists checked for the effects of possible changes in solar radiation as a cause for Earth's global warming years ago--and found that it does not account for the global warming we are experiencing.

Which you would know if you bothered to actually bothered to get ALL the facts.

I'm sure that you are an absolute expert in climatology, so I know I can trust you to tell me the truth about your use of the world's most powerful supercomputers that do the weather modeling to show what is happening to the global climate. How long have you known the Earth is actually flat too?

Regardless of whether global warming is caused in whole or in part by human action, doesn't it make sense to take those steps that you can to protect the planet? There is no doubt that the unfettered emission of greenhouse gases will have a long term detrimental effect on the planet in some way. Stop making excuses and act responsibly.

Mars has an extremely thin atmosphere. That's why there is a difference. You're comparing apples and oranges. Turn off Fox News and pick up a book.

Man's influence on global warming according to Algore is pure hogwash.
So is Kyoto(failure) and the "carbon credit corporate orgies "(EU).
Real science is not funded by politicians with an agenda. The agenda is to gain power while spending your money-not to save the planet.
