Alienation of Affection (stealing someone's wife) used to be a crime and a common civil action in this country. As recently as ten years ago, a woman successfully sued in Atlanta and got a multi-million dollar judgment against her husband's secretary/mistress/wifey2. Fortunately, we like to hope that we have progressed beyond that point where other people are treated as property to be "stolen" away. Both parties to a relationship have free will to stay or leave as they wish and any law restricting that freedom would have negative effects on the sanctity and quality of the relationship. Do you really want someone to stay with you because the law would prosecute anyone that would attempt to have a future relationship with her?
Maybe you need to do some thinking about what a relationship is, what your responsibilities are, and what you can do to avoid this happening in the future. If the woman you are with is happy, no one can "steal" her.

Human is a thinking animal, where as shoes and property can not think. Human has a taste, the taste of a person changes from time to time. Further, animals never donate anything to another animal, as we came from them, we still have that in our blood. This is what we call possessiveness. Another reason, the man must be feeling humiliation and afraid of accepting the truth to the world where he lives. If you think deeply, there is nothing wrong in having multiple partners. Human life is to enjoy. The man women love comes with out spending money. So, like business, If you win it , be proud of it. If you loose it, tell every one I lost it because of my poor knowledge or my ignorance or because of competition and go some where, start another one and be happy. Instead, I don,t understand why they fight for it.

In some states there is a count for "alienation of affection" which can be pursued against a third party for "stealing" someone's wife or spouse. Whether such a count succeeds against a third party is another story. Whether someone would want to be vindictive enough in a divorce to sue a third party is another question, too. Based on this, I would say that stealing someone else's wife is not "totally legal".

You have forgotten the crucial detail here. Women are NOT property. A wife or girlfriend can only be wooed away from a you if *she* consents.
Although with your charming personality and obvious respect for women, I can't imagine why she'd want to.

Uh since when did a woman become "property"? And how dare you imply that women are so simple minded that they can be "stolen" by another person?
The woman who leaves a relationship is not stolen - she chooses to leave, and darlin' I hate to tell you this...but if you thought your girlfriend was property then it's no big surprise she left you!

i see your point, but the shoes have no choice but to go with the person who "steals" them. A woman however, can choose who she wants to be with.

She cannot be legally owned.Who she lays down for and spreads her legs for, is her decision alone.
Women are fickle creatures,if you don't deliver, emotionally, physically or sexually, your history.Legally they can be with whom they choose to be with.Married or not,it is not against the law to be a Ho.Just if you sell it.

No one can "steal" your girlfriend or wife. She left willing and of her own accord. She is the one who had a committment not him.
YOUR GIRLFRIEND OR WIFE IS NOT A "COMMODITY'
